Looking for a good Physio in the Dural, Cherrybrook and Galston area?

Finding a good Physiotherapist for you and your family can be tough. Some are old school and use heat packs and machines on everyone, some see ten people at the same time in curtain clinics, and some don't even bother to touch you!

Our Physios at Your Health Sport and Spine are different. We have a bright and educated team that use the latest ways to assess and treat, and only see one patient at a time so you get the full attention your health deserves.

We provide Physiotherapy services to the local Dural, Middle Dural, Galston, Kenthurst, Glenhaven, North Kellyville, Castle Hill, and Cherrybrook communities.

What can a Physiotherapist help you with?

Musculoskeletal Injuries

Our Physios can help with any back or neck pain, spinal disc injuries, rotator cuff tears, bursitis, muscle, ligament, or tendon problems. From simple strains and sprains, or complete tendon tears, we can help.

Post-surgical Rehab

After orthopaedic surgeries, such as hip, knee, shoulder, or spinal surgery, it's important to do the rehabilitation properly under the guidance of a Physio so you can regain your range of movement and strength safely.

Workplace Injuries

Injuries at work are common and can get confusing when insurance companies are involved. Our team of Physios can help you navigate the claims process so you can focus on getting better and back to work.

Neurological Conditions

Neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries all impact the body physically. Our Physios can help you through the specific rehabilitation these require to relearn and adapt to living normally.

Bone Fractures

Accidents happen, and unfortunately bones do break. When this happens, a proper assessment of the fracture helps to determine which type of immobilisation is required to help it heal. Our Physios can help with broken toes, wrists, fingers, and collar bones.

Sports Rehabilitation

Our Physios can diagnose and treat a wide range of sports injuries, from acute injuries like sprains and strains to chronic overuse injuries. We can also help you perform at your best with sports specific conditioning programs that have been shown to reduce injury.

What will a Physio session at Your Health Sport and Spine be like?

Tell us your story

It all starts with us sitting down and getting to know you. We'll ask things like how your health condition first started, what makes it better or worse,  what treatments you've tried, and how it impacts your life. This helps us figure out what's going on and how we can best help. Many people bring along any previous scans they have, so we can explain in detail what they mean and if they actually matter or not.

Set your goals

People often want different things out of seeing a Physio, and it's important for us to know what matters to you. This could be as simple as getting rid of pain, to getting stronger, being able to pick up the kids easier, or completing your first running marathon. With different goals comes different treatments and we will tailor our assessment and treatment to achieve your goals.

Get a proper assessment

Next is a detailed assessment of how your body moves. What we'll do is measure your range of motion and muscle strength, check how controlled the movements are, and feel for any tightness or stiffness. We can also do some special physical tests to help rule in or rule out certain conditions so we can be sure of what we're dealing with. Sometimes we might send you off for some X-rays or MRI scans so we can have all the information we need.

Your condition explained

"So what's actually going on?". This is the most common question people ask our team when they see us. Our Physios take the time to really explain your health condition using pictures, diagrams, and our anatomy software. This often includes how the condition might have developed, the examination findings, any X-rays or MRI scans you have, what treatments are available, and how effective they all are.

Treatment tailored for you

We know everyone is unique and responds differently, so we've made sure to train ourselves with a wide variety of treatment options for people to try. Our Physios can provide hands on techniques like massaging muscles, joint mobilisations, joint manipulations, dry needling acupuncture, and even shockwave therapy. For exercise options, we take your preferences into consideration, and can design a personalised program that you can do at home, in the office, or at the gym.

Maintainence and Prevention

The goal of our management is to not see you again. Once any symptoms have settled and you're getting back to the things you want to be doing, the goal is now to maintain and prevent any future problems from coming back. This usually involves a strength and conditioning program, such as simple exercises you can do at home to keep you strong and flexible.
